PropNex confirms that the body found at Bukit Batok Nature Park, and identified by the police as 47-year-old Choo Xue Ying, was an agent of theirs.
“While the name, age and last known address of the deceased tallied with that of our own agent’s records,” says PropNex corporate communications manager Adam Tan, “we could not be absolutely sure that the deceased was our agent straightaway.”
Efforts on PropNex’s part to contact their agent Ms Choo since the discovery of the body had been futile, but that did not come as a surprise. Her Team Manager in PropNex says that Choo Xue Ying told him she preferred to operate independently, and declined to participate in group activities such as market updates.
Mr Tan later revealed that it was only by contacting a close family member listed in Choo Xue Ying’s PropNex application form that the company could confirm that the deceased was indeed their agent.
He concludes: “The family has informed me that they have declined to be interviewed and, out of respect for their wishes, we will not be disclosing any further comments or details at this time.”
